I appreciate there can be difficulties so I'm also here to help with more serious issues like sex or relationship problems, sexual health, or abuse.

Career highlights
I've fourteen years experience as a lecturer and researcher in psychology and international healthcare research.
In the past five years I've published over forty peer-reviewed papers in leading scientific journals, including the UK's largest study of sexual functioning.
I write and present a regular sex and relationships phone in for BBC Radio 5 live's 'Up All Night', serve on the advisory panel of Forum magazine, write for a number of magazines and newspapers, and volunteer as a sex educator with several media outlets in the developing world.
I've contributed to over 3000 magazine features on sex in the past four years.
My PhD was in Applied Human Psychology, where I evaluated pornography research.
I'm a member of the British Psychological Society.
I've won a number of awards for my work as a sex-positive educator including Cosmopolitan Magazine's 'Woman of Achievement' for education in 2000, International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health award in 2001, and
Campaigner of the Year at the International Erotic Awards in 2004.
In 2003 The Guardian newspaper named me a 'Woman to Watch' for being the UK's first 'evidence-based agony aunt'.
More about me
For my day job I lecture postgraduate students in research skills and understanding scientific evidence on an international healthcare course, and my research speciality is sex and relationships.
I manage research on issues such as sexual dysfunction, assessing relationship advice and media sex coverage, and evaluating sexual health services.
Outside of my day job I apply my research and teaching by working extensively with the media - writing features about sex, presenting a sex radio show, give journalists quotes to help with stories, and running courses for journalists to help improve their sex and health reporting skills.
I'm an active campaigner to improve sex education worldwide and I volunteer on a number of projects in the developing world to improve access to sex and wider scientific information.
And when I'm not doing that you'll find me at home in London where I live with my partner and cat.
