This meal is suitable for vegetarians.
Kit you'll need
75g dry pasta or noodles
75g soft goats cheese or low fat cheese spread with garlic and herbs
50g Quark
6 stoned black olives cut in slices
75g frozen peas
Fork
Spoon
Bowl
Saucepan
Sieve
Step by step instructions
- Bring a large pan of water to the boil and start the pasta cooking according to packet instructions.
- When the pasta has been cooking for about 5 mins, add the peas, bring the water back to the boil and continue to cook.
- Mash the 2 cheeses together in a bowl with the fork, then add the olives.
- When the pasta is cooked, drain using the sieve. Keep a couple of tablespoons of the cooking water.
- Return the pasta and veg to the pan. Add the cheese mix and stir until the pasta and veg are coated.
- Add a tablespoon or two of the saved water if liked to thin the sauce.
Points for style
For a Greek flavour use cubed feta cheese in place of goats or spread and broad beans.

This is a great thread. Something that a lot of people have been looking for. I have some similar recipes, should I e-mail them to you for review, rather than post them on here?

PJ,
Anthony has asked me to overhaul my diet, alot.
It something I should have done from the start.
I think the main meals in here a bit heavy calorie wise (probably around what I am eating at the moment).
I am looking for a weeks worth of mains at around 400-500 calories.
Any pointers where I can look?
Thanks

Hi Leaner :-)
If you cut the rice/pasta portion in any of the mains in this thread down to 45g you'll save about 100 cals which will bring them nearer your range.
The recipes in the Mansized mains thread are all calorie counted too.
I can put together some calorie counted ideas for you if you'd find it useful - say 10 meals at 400 to 500 so you get a bit of choice?
