I got excited when I heard about this game as I loved the original GDI v NOD Command & Conquer, it was awesome. Then they made it all silly 3D and I just lost interest, I was hoping that this may have returned to it's roots and got back to the 'birs eye view' but it's still in silly 3D.
I might not bother as I still love playing the original C&C. There was nothing more satisfying than playing online as NOD, building a Cyborg Commando, putting him in an APG and sneaking him into the other guys base with some engineers, then cause absolute carnage! It would piss the other guy off no end :-)
Are you mad? Command and Conquer Generals and Zero hour were the best in the series! I just hope EA haven't buggered this up considering Westwood Studios aren't making this one.

I couldn't get into CC Generals and the 3D gaming. I much preferred the original C&C format.

You don't need to play with the 3D camera angles just leave it as it is. Give them a chance, you'll get used to it and I guarantee you won't be disappointed!
The MOAB (Mother-of-all-bombs) was the best introduction, just watching the enemies men get blown of the screen at all angles! :-D
I must admit, I was fairly apprehensive about C&C going 'true 3D' but if anything, the series is even more enjoyable now than back when it first appeared.
The 'First Decade' collection you can pick up for £10-£15 is an essential buy to go with this too. Got the whole C&C experience that will last you months then.

Me too, I have a laptop as well and generals was so hard to play on it. I guess with a mouse etc. it would be more fun.
The words 'mutts' and 'nuts' come to mind. I have enjoyed all the C&C games. I got my first one on play station and it was the main reason I bought a PC. That and the prospect of a site like 'Mansized' of course. I have not read good reveiws about the peformance of the pc version, so I might wait for the X-box version which is apperently exactly the same (instead of a console, edited and compressed remake). If anyone has it on pc, pray tell how it performs and if you have any probs with it.

Admit it! You were just crap at it. Stop making excuses.
