Overlord is a good little game, very fun controlling the minions but like other reviews said you can't actually be that evil, killing a few chickens and trashing boxers is about it so far and on the PC atleast the controls are very annoying. Accidentally telling your minions to run into water and kill themselves is not fun and later on you will need to control different groups of them in battle, which doesn't work out. But nice concept overall. Not sure if the few good hours of gameplay are worth the current price of around £24 on PC.

Aww. I hoped this would be good. Was thinking of getting it for the xbox.

The first few hours are great, don't get me wrong, the minions are very entertaining but it does get tricky, it might be easier to do on the xbox 360. Bare in mind I'm pretty much a game numpty who gets bored easily so others might find the controls less troublesome. The reviews I read mentioned this and my bro got further than me in the game but still got annoyed with the controls later on.
I've so far found this game to be incredibly fun as there is much humour in this game. You as the overlord can be as evil as you want or as good as you want (though it is more fun to be evil) by doing such deeds as smiting innocent peasents and taking slaves. The game is a mixture of killing and simple strategy. You control an army of minions which you can command to do your evil bidding such as killing or pillaging. Overall i highly recommend buying this game!!!!!!!
Is that the quote off play KT?

Granted I only got so far into the game thanks to my suicidal minions I found the choices of evil were limited to breaking things, occasional killing (but killing isn't a big deal anyway in this game) or stealing. You can make your evil castle better as you progress. Playing the game is very much like Fable in appearance, but Fable seems to have a lot more variety quest wise. Sending out the minions to attack is good fun though.
