Director Michael Bay junks the script and proceeds to blow up half of LA. We like. Click for our verdict, the trailer and tell us what you think.

I think this should have been 5stars!

I can live with 4 though.

It's obviously not as good as the original cartoon, but being a die-hard Transformers fan I was impressed with this (I did fear the worst). Fans of the cartoon movie will notice they have slipped some dialogue in
"One shall stand, one shall fall" brilliant!

Also, the scene with the tank (devestator) was for us die-hards!

I loved the battle scenes, I though LeBeuf was brilliantly cast as was the girl (KT - We need pics!)

There were a few cheesy bits in there which I forgive but those scenes did get laughs from the audience I noticed.

That's my verdict, anyone who grew up with the Transformers bug will 'get' this film, those who have no attachement to them (have not seen original, didn't cry when Prime died, didn't think hot-rod was cool..) might not enjoy as much.

Will,

Thank you so much for replacing Travolta with that picture of Megan Fox.

You are a flower amongst weeds....

Transformers was great - however that Section 7 agent was not funny.
And the scene in the house where they are looking for glasses goes on way too long. Suppose it was for the kids.

Optimus liked the sound of his own voice, and wouldn't shut up with cheesy quotes.

Overall tremendous film.

Saw it last night.

And... loved it!

It was much better than I thought it was going to be! Great effects, stunts etc, and the storyline though not anything particularly special was told well and well-paced.

I don't agree with the MS reviewer about the script being rubbish, I think the script was very well written for what it was, and I was surprised at how funny it was - there was LOADS of comedy moments in it, mostly but not exclusively involving rising star Shia LeBoeuf (or howvever you spell it).

All in all, this surprised me by not being a cheesy kids film at all, but a balls-to-the-wall action-packed feast for the eyes, bouyed by a witty script and great performances from the cast.

It's one of the best action flicks of the year - go see!

watched it last night, so dissapointing and perhaps even a little bit racist? plot was a convoluted mess and didnt really care about any of the characters except for Megan Fox and that tight tanned bod of hers.

Not a bad movie but not a great one either.

Think the special effects are second to none - makes the citroen advert designers look like hobo's!

Some bits could have been better but overall I really enjoyed it and to make it better it has been left perfectly balanced for a 2nd one!
