It's not an advert so to speak.
I took a screen dump two mins ago when it popped up for the third time.

I got this just now when I posted a reply.
It's different from the other but same jist.
It's my work pc though which is completely up to date with anti-virus software.
It's impossible to say what advert was showing at the time because you cannot scroll back.
So unless you have a good memory, you won't catch which ad is doing it.

I'm going to ask Andy if he can identify any threads that contain pictures or links you've all posted on in, say, the last month. We may find something that way. You're not all in touch by email or MSN by any chance? If you are, it'd help us to know.
We're also removing all Google ads from the site. Google say they check them, but this is the only way to be sure.

i had a quick look this mornign at the page code, to see what was causing it, perhaps an errant flash plugin?
I had an option as well to install a missing plugin, which obviously doesn't work.
The problem was it loaded on the MS page, and then when I clicked back it was a new page :/
was first thing in the morning, seems to be a once a day thing.

I've had it on 3 or 4 occasions, nothing to identify any consistency. Once when just scrolling down the 'new messages' list.
It's not something from my pc, as anti-virus is all up to date, spyware blocked, cookies blocked etc, and I only get it non MS.
Not really a problem though as I just close it down, and then start again.
On IE7 btw

there was that in the chat thread yesterday, captain tried to post a click able picture. So firefox wanted to install something. Was that it?
I've seen the drive cleaner as well Will.
Alot of those people are on the Scotland email list?? (8 of us when you add me on that list, I think)

Any time i've had it, the main window minimizes to the bottom right and the 'drive cleaner' popup appears. Clicking anywhere on the drive cleaner popup brings the main window back up onto the drive cleaner main page. I can then use my back button to go to whatever I was looking at on MS and it works fine.
ETA: I don't have any MSers on MSN.

We're now removing the only ads it could possibly be (the Google ones) but extremely unlikely it's them.
We've virus scanned all images that have ever been uploaded to the site. Found nothing.
It's got to be something hidden in an image, a link to somewhere or something circulating on email/ MSN.

that's not possible, unless they've managed to embed html in your site, but refreshign the page that caused it didn't make it reload. It's intermittant.
(yes the plugin might have been from captains pic)
