Being honest I think your body fat might be a little bit higher than 17%. You could also do with some more muscle on you to give you definition.
I think a similar plan to rugbyant, or science boy, the typical MS recommendation would be in order :) Lots of intense weight, and careful monitoring of diet.
I think it is a little higher than 17% but not much but do you agree that just losing 14lb bodyweight (-16lbfat+2lb muscle)is enough to give me nice slim abs and to lose the fat that i require off the pecs and midsection??
I hear what you say about building muscle for more definition but obviously on the plan that i follow which is similar to the others i will only gain a small amount of muscle so the only definition i will get will be losing fat and revealing the body underneath as i prob wont gain more than 4lbs of muscle at the very very mpst?
I think the main thing is to put the effort in and wait for the results. It's hard to predict exactly what should happen. If you're losing 1-2lbs a week then this is good, when your abs are ready they'll show themselves :)
Keep on top of your diet, and give it your all, and you'll get results.
No matt thats not true the most i have ever come out at is 131lbs after deducting the fat off back at the begining when i was 14lb heavier. However when i lose a small amount of weight like a lb bodyfat scales always make it look like i have lost or maintained muscle which isnt true.
I can tell you form working out that my thoghs are effo more muscluar especially when tensed and my arms are a lot firmer and my pecs are too as they are saggy tht what they were
however, if you think 17.5% bf is wrong and it is actually more, than makes the decrease of lean mass even greater.
Not really. If the bodyfat % measurement is wrong in his last reading then there's a good chance that it was wrong in his first reading. You can't judge how much fat he's lost if you're not sure of the accuracy of your measurements. The only thing we know for certain is that he is losing bodyfat.
Lelloman, I wouldn't make a weight loss target trying to guess what it might do to the belly size. I'd say set yourself a waist measurement reduction target, since that is the more important thing.

I'd say you'll need to lose about 2 stone to start to see your abs!

I don't think getting down to 125lbs would be wise? an 18.5 BMI would make him underweight aswell?
