So I;ve been invited back for a second interview. They can;t decide between me and someone else. I asked why (in a subtle way) and was told there was 'something about you, your interview was very strong, we just want to probe you further.' (I almost bit off a piece of tongue trying not to laugh at this point).
So the second interview is on monday with two managers, thewoman who interviewed me and the manager of the sport and leisure trust I'd be working for - why would they need a second one? If they are agonising over me and this other mystery person doesnt that just mean its a coin toss?
I have no idea how to prepare for a second interview...help!

mate no need to prepare, just do what you did the first time,
Usually second interviews are to see more about the person as they cant make their minds up solely on skills/experience.

Quite common to have two interviews
First - general, normally done to get rid of most of the people, normally not with senior manager
Second - normally ask more about skills and may ask to demonstrate skills too, and to speak with senior manager

Don't worry about it mate, just make sure you are still presentable, but are wearing a different suit, shirt and tie.
Be the same and just answer their questions as normal, they are justing having another look at you thats all.

I had a second interview for the job I do now.
The first one was a standard interview, the second one was more about exactly what the role entailed etc.
They then asked for my ideas should I be given the role.
I was a bit cheeky and just said 'hire me and find out'.
They did....

yep, I have had quite a few second interviews -- I wouldn't worry about it. As the above said, they only want to have a look at you again.
The second interviews is more usual if the first round is conducted via telephone.
Fingers crossed for you mate!
