I bloody love this game. Thanks for the reviews with this and PES. XB360W gave this 74% and PES 90odd% but I agree with this review. PES isn't great this year.

Glad to hear you agree :) I've obviously spent a lot of time with both in order to knock up those reviews, and PES isnt half the game it usually is this year. The more I've played it, the more flaws I've spotted. Allowing the referee to inadvertantly block your players runs is such a disasterous introduction to the series!

I'm loving FIFA 08. The graphics are stunning, even on my non-HD t.v.!

The online play has no lags either and you can have multiplayer games online!

PES08 is really poor this year.

I must admit, last night saw my first instance of online FIFA 08 lag. Well I say lag, it was merely an incredibly small fraction of a second time delay between my button press and an action being made on screen. Still was a blooming fun game.

Tried PES 2008 after, and had players teleporting all over the pitch, istances where the game actually stopped from horrendous lag, and one bit that really irritated me. An unscrupulous gamer hacked me down from behind just as I was about the slot the ball into an empty net, hence a penelty, and mysteriously only a yellow card. The penelty itself was hit hard to the top left, but the 'keeper pulled off a cracking save. Unfortunately, he only palmed it back out to my waiting striker who nodded it in the empty net.

But the ref, somehow, managed to give a CORNER! We need this patch Konami are talking about incredibly quickly.

Get yourself a HD tv lad. They're great. The graphics are awesome.

I keep getting my arse kicked online. I need to get playing the game on the harder levels.

Ste, try and get on it this week and I'll have you a game. No scouser jokes though, it's the only thing I take offence to. Call my mum a pirate hooker, tell me my girlfriend is ugly, please don't say I sound like a scouser *spit*

That post is hilarious. I can taste your frustration Chris. It tastes like lemon sherbert. Nice.

My lad got a PS3 for his 13th birthday/ early xmas present. They wouldn't let us have Fifa 08 with it so we bought it from Amazon for about £25...they've since put it back up!!
My lad then used his birthday money to buy PES 08.

His verdict Fifa 08!! The graphics are just better.
The re-naming of teams is also a downer.
PES hasn't moved on as much and he thinks it's pretty much the PS2 version but Fifa 08 has moved a level on Fifa 07 on PS2.

Just playing Fifa 09, seems pretty cool (downloaded the demo).

Must beat Chelsea before I go to bed though. I played them earlier and they defeated me 1-0. Since then I have not been able to settle, need to do this

*fires xbox up singing "we hate Chelsea, we hate Chelsea"
