I'm quite pleased with this piece. It's a pretty fair reflection of what I actually told them.
It's a shame that they edited out my comments on safer sex to make it sound like I think all we need do is use a condom (like it's that simple). Also they didn't include my main bugbear which is about people setting themselves up as 'sexperts' when they've no qualifications. Here's what I said:
"Sex is one area when anyone can be an expert. Many so-called experts are not qualified and spread information that is misleading, outdated or sometimes dangerous. As a result people get worried and upset unnecessarily, or don't realise there is a lot of good quality information and advice out there".
Funny that they cut this.
Still, the majority of it was good. I'd be interested to hear what you think of the issues myself and colleagues talk about in the piece - are they things that are important - or should we be focusing on other things instead.
Not sure why we're referred to as a website for young men. I'm 21 of course but I know many of you are over the hill :-)
Personally I think it might be better if the site is referred to as Mansized.co.uk in the press, given other domains that may be NSFW containing Mansized...
I guess you don't want to seem a Dotcom (particularly not mansized.com) but it may help some NSFW-based anger!

*wonders which one fo the fellow contributers Dr P is referring to*

Naughty Fatboy! :-)
Actually I didn't know who the other people were while I was sending my quotes to the paper. But I suspect they probably didn't run that particular comment as it may have implied something about the other people being interviewed.
I know for this particular feature they specifically asked for people who were genuinely qualified so the remark wasn't aimed at them.
However it does still stand in relation to the large numbers of dodgy 'sexperts' out there.

Yep, we always ask but Her Majesty's Press doesn't always deliver unfortunately
