He should get the ring back as he didn't give it to her... he presented it as a token of their ever lasting love and she accepted it as that. If this is now not the case she should return it, accepting that it is not rightfully hers.

Actually tradition states that the ring is a gesture of your love and she wears it as a token of that. The ring is technically yours as itin tradition is seen as somewhat of a contract between you that the ring was given and accept on the premise of marriage and that if that contract is broken then the ring should be returned to the owner.
I hope you get sorted mate, Christmas is a great time to see family and friends and obviously being a magical time of year I believe that anything can happen. Make 2008 your year, make decisions with yourself at the centre and do it for you not anyone else. A lot of us on this site have been through similar things and we've all turned out alright.

It was in German, the guy was random friend of a friend of a friend, someone who she is never going to see again. I was the one who told her best friend we had broken up, and ive been the one explaining it all.
I dont expect her to still treat me as before, but there is a difference between that and being how she is with me. When i leave Germany its hardly likely im going to bump into her so all will be over.
As for your engagement ring Aiden, i really would give her the satisfaction, its another thing for her to look back on and dislike you for. At the moment im just trying to stay healthy, cut the crap out of my diet and exercise a lot. Seems to be keeping my mood quite good, that and the thought that she really isnt that perfect anyway.

2 days until i leave to go home now, i cannot wait to get out of here, away from her and her lies and games. I think there is basically no chance of being friends...not for the foreseeable futrure anyway. It really is all her loss.
