If it was 24 and 16 it's a bit more of an issue but I say good luck to your mate. As long as they've got something in common then he shouldn't sweat it.

Hmm. I don't think 8 years is that bad as I know people who have married and been 10 years apart. But at a young age I think the differences in maturity etc can be very drastict from 18 - mid 20's. Some 18yos are a lot more immature than someone in their 20s but then again some are not, so it depends on teh peole, he may be still very young at heart. A mate of mine just started seeing an 18yo (he is 23) and a lot of my friends (me included) thought she was a little too young as she was still at school (well college).

Hi all,
I had a phone call from my mate earlier asking for advice, I thought i'd see what you guys thought.
This mate of mine is 26 and he's met a girl on a night out who is only 18. They've been going out for a couple of weeks and he's wondering what people think.
Admittedly I don't know much of the situation yet, but what do you guys think anyway? Seeing as i'm looking for a broad opinion =)
Thanks.
your mate is awesome! You should be asking him for advice!
