This was quite an interesting article I thought.
According to IQ tests I am the most intelligent of my siblings. The personality part seemed quite accurate too- I am certainly less of a risk taker and far more neurotic. I also give a lot more than I receive.
I am certainly not the most conformist though and I am deffo the black sheep a lot of the time.
How accurate do you find it?

Some close some not.
I am the fourth child of five and have an IQ of over 150. I am the brightest in my family.
The rest of it was like looking at a horoscope. A bit woolly.

That is what I thought, a few hit the mark, a few were completely opposite. It was a bit random and just trying to clutch at anything,

The report says:
A number of studies have suggested that IQ scores decline with birth order.
Claudio says:
I'm the youngest; I'm the only one to have gone down the traditional university route - though I'm not saying that it is any indicator of intelligence. I tend to perform best in those sort of tests.
The report says:
Last-borns are . . .agreeable, warm, sociable, extrovert and creative. They are the most favoured child, often a joker and questioning of authority.
Claudio says:
Me? Agreeable? Warm? Huh!
The report says:
Later-borns are less likely to be overweight.
Claudio says:
That's that one shot out of the window.

I have two older sisters. None of that report seemed to apply to us three at all.

I'm a last born too. I agree with most of the above but I wouldn't say I was the most favoured child!
My older sister is definitely more clever than me!

As a younger sister and a mother of two........
older children might get more time with their parents.... just through turning up when there were more resources... otherwise.. its the same old mix of nature and nurture surely. nothing new.
