Really struggling to get my arse in gear for the DD Challenge... Think I need to speak to Anthony and get some ideas about what diet he'd suggest. I spent yesterday looking at the Abs Diet but i can't be doing with all those smoothies etc.. Seems like a lots of food as well, considering i'm largely unable to exercise at the minute...
I'm thinking i may do the six pack diet but without the workout, but need to see what he thinks!
I also need some motivation cus at the moment i feel like i'm drifting in terms of my diet and fitness..
Darnay - you are like me in that "medically" we have no need to lose fat, but we both have strength/fitness goals and you have the added frustration of back pain induced restrictions on your training.
Ask Ant for an estimation of your maintenance caloires - he should have a good idea of your bf from the last pics you posted, then find an eating plan you'll be able to stick to ie not skewed anti carbs or cabbage soup stylee and make that your goal for now.
You know you can do this Darnay and you know that if you restrict your diet too much you'll go haywire after 2 weeks.

Thanks PJ and thanks Anthony... I hear what you say about maintaining my weight but i know if i try to do that i'll end up adding weight instead. As far as i can work out i've got a window of opportunity before my surgery now. It was gonna be in 3-4 weeks time but is now likely to be in 6 weeks...
So, as of Monday i'm gonna start the weight loss plan Anthony suggests and work a healthy diet out based around 1700 calories a day. No low carb, no gimmicks, no fad diets.. Just a good mix of carbs, protein and fats...
I'll try to do as much walking and exercise as i can over the six weeks and see where it takes me.
Week has had its ups and downs.. Last weekend was a nightmare in which i got mildly drunk on Saturday and then nabsolutely hammered on Sunday night, and then managed to eat a huge bag of fish and chips!!
How long can i use the Atkins rebound effect one wonders?
Since Sunday i've been a good boy and managed to control my calories, keeping them below 1800 everyday, and drinking oodles of H20. Just hope i can manage to keep it under control this weekend.
Have a gay cowboy and indian night on Saturday!! Yee-Ha!!
