yep I guess, but I only do one set of 12 reps. Its not an ideal workout I know but I enjoy it.

Yes I workout some of the same muscle groups and im probably negleting others.
From what I understood I wasnt trying to build muscle mass but retain what muscle I had whilst attempting to lose fat. Ive tried to go for an intense full body routine that takes about an hour.

Any one got any suggestions for a better set of exercises please, seems im doing it all wrong

You are doing a lot right.

1. You are enjoying it.
2. You are trying to maintain what you have.
3. You are looking to lose fat.
4. You work for an hour.

Nothing bad there. The workout length may be a little long for a few of the guys here.

If your diet is ok then you are definately on the right track. A few adjustments may help make it even better.

it's a good set of exercises, but you could easily drop the chest press and at least one leg press and not be any worse off.

Doesn't look that bad, maybe just drop the Chest Press & do only one set of Squats or Leg Presses.

Make sure you get at least a full days rest between workouts

*Cough Or do half hour of cardio on those 'rest' days.

Hi Gprim

I don't know if this helps, but I have had success in the past with weight loss.

One tip I'd suggest is to try some HIIT running on the treadmill. A 5 mins warm up, with 5 x 30 second sprint/jogs is a great fat burner.

Best of luck - I'm rooting for you!

I generally go for a run on a tuesday or thursday with some sprint sessions to finish if I have the energy.

Can't argue with that... although others will say rest, rest, rest! I like my cardio days and feel it is good to have a varied trainign routine otherwise it is easy to be only fit for one thing... the gym!

Hey Tibs, done HIIT before and used to love it, back then I was a cardio nut and didnt touch the weights at all. May have to introduce it a bit more as the challenge progress's

Weigh in on Sunday, should be a good one.

Just got home after playing it at a mates house, apparently my Wii fit age is 41 lol, considering im 26 I wasnt too sure what to think. BMI was also 29.86 so just under the obese category. Weight came in at 16.2 stone- not sure what it is in kg but I had jeans and a jumper on (altho it accounts for clothes) Official weigh in on my scales is tomorrow morning so wont worry about it too much for the time being.

The game itself is pretty good, loads of fun and seems to work on various categories, balance, muscle building, aerobic exercise and yoga. Some were hard, i.e I did the plank for 90 seconds which hurt (all my mates managed 20 seconds he he)

As it was a Saturday my friend was having a bbq. I was good, Salad (no dressing) some Salmon and some steak in a wholemeal wrap with mustard. Drunk no beer and stayed away from the burgers and sausages etc. Salmon was really nice, so was the bit of steak :-)

Proper update in the morning peeps just thought id post on my 1hr of Wii fit mania
