That is unfortunate.

I hate lazy liver day. I didn't see any real wieght loss during the period I was having rest days and it seemed to me that training every day had gave better results.

there's too many factors involved, the body is a complicated system. You might have not been working out as hard as possible during that time. It is only recently you tried 3/3. So maybe you weren't working intense enough.

You are not going to see much muscle growth on a deficit. You will do well to keep hold of what muscle you have, so you stress it as efficiently as possible, and then rest to let diet take care of the fatloss. It's a balancing act. What you are doing is working, but maybe try have one more rest day a week and see how that affects you this time round?

Diet first anyway. I'm sure I've lost weight since Wednesdays weigh-in, despite not hitting the gym at all.. but all this coughing is giving my abs a great workout :)

last night I ate 2 cookies and a chocolate muffin :(

I look leaner this morning than yesterday, so chocolate burns fat: Fact! :)

I had some chochy from my easter egg yesterday and it had the same effect.

So I can back up you're theory! :-P

I'm down to 166lbs now, waist is 31.5"

So 2lbs and 1/4 of an inch gone this week. Cough finally going away so I can resume the gym properly this week.

My diet is more a listen to my body affair atm. If I'm hungry or crave something I will go eat, usually something healthy. If I get cravings for chocolate or shit food I'm not denying myself at this point in time. I'm trying to think of this as my lifestyle change rather than a strict 12 month thing. So I'm following it on this basis and allowing myself treats. If I gain weight then it is too much treats and I will reduce them.

It is week 4 for me, I've lost 4lbs already, some of it no doubt muscle, and half an inch from waist in total. On a good day I can see the outline of the top 4 abs, I'm hoping I will have a visible 6 pack on camera in 8 weeks time.
