Trained tonight :-)

Nice to be back in action but I couldn't get the timing right had to split sets etc.

The way forward is def. to maintain and perfect do the weights I am currently doing with good cadence, form and proper sets.

Just done:

Routine A

Squat with 2 x 12.5kg weights 12 reps (+2.5kg)
Rest 2 mins
Squats with 2 x 12.5kg weights 10 reps
Rest 2 mins
Squats with 2 x 12.5 eights SS Lunges with 10kg 12 reps
Rest 3 mins
Assisted Pull Ups 10 reps SS Dumbbell bench Press 10 kg (+1.25kg) 9 reps
Rest 2 mins
Assisted Pull Ups 2 x 5 reps SS Dumbbell bench Press 10 kg 5 + 4 reps
Rest 2 mins
Dumbbell Curl 6 kg (0.5kg) 2 x 6 reps
Rest 2mins
Dumbbell Curl 6kg 2 x 5 reps
Rest 1 min
Plank 1 min 3 secs.

The assisted pulls up I had to break down into a 8+2 but I only had my toes resting up the fitball and rolled it along using them to get me up to the bar.

Pleased with the 10kg bench press - I have tried it before and could not make it move at all so that is a bit of progress :-)

I hate the curls as much as ever - tried doing them kneeling this week which felt slightly less stupid for some reason.

Got some great callusssussssses :-)

Soooo good to be training again - I tried picking up the weights for the squats last weekend and could not bend my wrists enough to get them anywhere near my shoulders!!!

Be nice to see if I can do the same routine next week without the split sets.

Thanks for reading Folks-it helps!

Brief update:

Utterly useless training session on Thurs- entiredly due to the fact that the 4 day summer we experienced lured me into a lot more walking than usual :-(

Will train tomorrow and plan to get back on plan next week.

I know,I know :-((

One of my stated goals was to stay on plan - Mon to Friday I walked 2 x 5 miles timed @ 4 miles an hr.

Its nice to be fit enough to do it - but there was no way I could do decent workout
after that.

Weather has changed so that should help to keep me indoors.

People look up to you Peej... don't let them, or yourself, down.

Dismissed! ;-)
