I don't wish this to be specific and so I am posting it seperately.

Anyone who complains about their work yet posts here hundreds of times a day sure can hardly complain surely?

It seems a strange juxtaposition for anyone to belittle their work colleagues for not valueing them yet still manage to spend a significant amount of their working day reading and responding to posts.

You can't have it both ways.

Uh huh.

I like MS.

I like posting and reading and assume everyone else does.

However how can you sit and complain that work doesn't value you enough when you spend half the day here?

It is a bit like complaining the fitness programme doesn't work when you don't go to the gym and have a McDonalds Visa card!

I can see this one turning into the fight thread of the year!

That is if people rise to the bait.....

I appreciate it is provocative however it is also bloody honest. It doesn't need to be a fight at all.

It is however a fact that seems to get overlooked.

I have no complaints with my work other than it is too easy for me now and not a challenge.

I intend to move when a suitable offer from the North comes along.

Maybe some people are just more efficient and better at multi tasking (this doesn't apply to me).

If that were the case they could then do one of two things.

Enjoy the free time and post on MS.

Work harder and get the promotion they want.

This is clearly a dig at me.

My posting on MS during ‘work time’ i.e the ‘standard’ 9-5 doesn’t mean I work any less hard or care about my job any less. The way my job is, the way I operate and the tasks I have to do mean that sometimes I find a break from concentrating on the task at hand useful, and I find MS is good for that.

I’ve been posting on various forums for 4 years and during that time have been promoted three times.

Some people wander round the office chatting or gossiping at the watercooler instead - I don’t, I come here.

In some jobs ‘desk/office’ time is paramount. But the way I work I find I’m at my most useful at certain times in the day – sometimes that is on the weekend, sometimes that is before 9am, sometimes its after 5pm.

The bottom line is that my problems at work have nothing to do with my activity here. If anything it keeps me marginally sane because I don’t have anyone I can confide in here.
