Updates have been none-existent for me recently as I have given my shoulder a rest.
I have a slight recurring rotator cuff problem - when I lift heavy weights for long periods of time I get slight problems. They dont stop me from doing much as I know how to manage it. I am pretty sure it stems from tightness across my back, and is fine when I have regular massage.
Unfortuntaley recently I have been too busy to book my massage, so had a slight strain in my shoulder. Rather than aggrivate it I took 10 days off training.
I trained yesterday, upper body session.
Nothing major to report other than my body didn't thank me for taking the break. Shoulder was OK though, and I am having a physio do some deep internal manipulation on it as the masseuse is on holiday soon.
Well, over the week trainin ghas been as follows...
Tuesday was an hour of football which in real training terms is HIIT.
Wednesday I rested as I had chiropractic treatment to get my hips back in line.
Thursday I had a good upper body session in the morning, pressing the 40kg dumbells for good sets of 8.
Thursday evening I did some boxing training with my mate, which was brutal. I loved it!
Tonight I am going to do some more boxing, an ab workout and my shoulder rehab work.
Saturday will be an upper-body day again, followed by rest on Sunday.
The eagle-eyed amongst you will notice there is no leg work there. This is due to my hip alignment and is for this week only. My chiropractor wanted me to take the week off. Back to leg work on wednesday.
