Seem to be a bit of a serial poster at the moment lol.
My weight is slowly coming off and I have lost about 8kg so far give or take and note that none of this is from where I want.
Its easy to see why people give up after a few weeks etc. Wanting A, fast results and B specific fast loss in the obvious areas i.e stomach, back, arse etc.
So far I havnt noticed any weight loss around my waist, back. Im sure there is a little. I have noticed a change in my face, neck, hands (for some reason) including my lower arms etc but thats about it.
I know its mainly genetics etc with regards to where you put fat on and off and in the order it does so, and you cant spot reduce fat. Just hoping it will start to shift from waist etc. Dont think ive seen my arms legs and indeed hands looking so boney.
Guess im just cautious of taking pics for the end of week six lol
From the sound of the places you're losing from, depending on how overweight you are, it sounds like you're pulling most of your weight loss from your muscle rather than your fat reserves.
It's not a problem if that's the case, it's easily fixed by tweaking your routine, which we can do here.
8kg will in most people drop around 2 inches from your waist measurement if you're losing from your fat stores. What's your waist measurement now compared to when you started?

Is a 6lb loss and half inch around naval a consistent loss? (my chest is deflated by an inch and my neck by half an inch so I'm guessing not)
Some of these general guidelines, numbers wise I find pretty useful. Could there be an answers post in the future to help people assess progress?

Oh dear, exactly what I feared; im doing too much in the gym grrr harder than I thought to just lose fat. In terms of my waist I measured it about 3 weeks or so ago and plan to do the same at the end of week 6 of the DD challenge. Waist had come down 2 inches hope for another drop by the end of week 6.
Im tempted to move measuring waist etc to the end of this week as im now in complete paranoia.

Depends on how overweight you are. If you're not considerabley overweight, you'll lose less weight proportionately to lose more inches.
Here on the other hand Alex lost 3 inches from his waist, but only had to lose half the amount of fat to do it because he wasn't carrying so much fat overall, just mostly what was left on his stomach.
So that's why I say on average, talking about the average overweight man, because Alex wasn't overweight, but still had a stone to lose to get a six pack.
It was over 6 weeks, started at 171lbs and 32 inch naval. Now 165lbs and 31.5 inch naval. I'm 5'11
At your stage, you shouldn't be losing any significant size from your neck or chest/back.
But then, as I said before when you were doing Mr Mansized, to get the results you want, you'll need to make sure you work out consistantly without skipping workouts, and stick to your diet like it's your religion, because the fat wont drop off on its own. There's no need for it to, you're already in good shape.
There was a bit of a slip 2 weeks ago. Back into it properly now, I think I will have to print out the rules of my new religion and stick them up somewhere to help keep me on track.
Should my circumferences measurements all be staying the same, except belly if things are going well?
