I understand that but I don't eat meat thats why I eat it! Good good source of protein!

Well I cook it by marinating it in soy sauce it's not that bad taste wise
but im unsure if I can eat without cooking it

I don't eat meat - and I avoid tofu. Chick peas and other pulses have lots of protein - and taste far better.

so tell me more Claudio

how do you eat your chick peas and what kind of pulses do you have? what other sources of protein do u have?

Just seen this - I'll reply tonight, but basically:

Hummus (not that healthy)
Falafel (can be healthier)
Spiced chick peas and potatoes (healthy and tasty).

If I forget - remind me if you see me hanging around.

PP - here is a Chick Pea Curry recipe from Mansized Mix and Match Menus

Serves 2

Kit you'll need

1 can cooked chick peas, drained and rinsed
175g low fat natural yoghurt
5 cm piece of cucumber cut into chunks
1 large ripe tomato, chopped
pinch of cumin
pinch of curry powder
1 tablespoon lime or lemon juice
2 naan breads
Lime pickle if you like it

Spoon
Bowl
Saucepan
Grill pan

Step by step instructions

- Turn on the grill.
- Combine the first seven ingredients in the bowl. Place in saucepan over a medium heat and cook with gentle stirring for about 5 mins until heated through.
- Toast the naan breads for 1 min on each side, then serve topped with the chickpea mixture

Points for style

Try this even if you hate curry, just use black pepper or a herb mixture in place of the other spices.

* For singletons, leftovers will keep for 2 days in the fridge. This will not freeze well.

Think of it as courgette with pimples :-)

I cook lettuce too with peas as the French do.
