Rules is the rules is suppose, but I think a yellow card & a penalty is enough. If is was a two footed tackle or a headbutt or something then it should be a red & a peno.

I agree. A penalty's a pretty major punishment as it is and the red card just adds to that. If it's a malicious challenge then fair enough but, as you said earlier, the double punishment can just kill off a game.

Would be interesting. If we had France's place I don't think we would've done much better, maybe a point from Italy & a win over Romania.

Not much of a game then last night, very dissapointing
I can't really add to what the pundits said (no heart from France, end of an era etc). The major turning point was the sending off, this rule needs looking at. Fair enough a penlty is given, but did Abidal (sp) really need to be send off thus ending the game?

I thought the game was average didn't enjoy it that much.
I was hoping for a draw because right now I think the Italians are going to be difficult to beat. I don't like them cheating, diving toss ers. I hope they get undone by the Spaniards.
I hope Russia win tonight with Arsharvin back and Zlatan out they got a wonderful chance to beat the Swedes. I know we lost against them but I think they are a good team.
