I have been job changing and now temping for the most part of my working life since leaving University in 2004. I got my degree but quickly decided that the career path wasnt for me. In fact I have never really had any clue about what I actually want to do for a living. Im 26 and seem to go into a job, get bored after 2 years or less and then move on. No progression just a sideways and sometimes downward movement.
Im temping at the moment and I have had a little bit more time to actually think seriously about what it is I really want to do. The Job is easy and it gives me quite a bit of free time. I work 2-10pm mon-thu and 1-8pm friday. Lots of free time in the morning and weekends free.
I think I now have an idea of what I would like to do career wise and have really thought it through for a while. Im seriously interested in Sports Nutrition and was hoping I could do some qualifications and become a registered dietician. Focussing mainly on sports nutrition. It interest's me a great deal, however I dont really know where to start.
Degree is an obvious choice, however most courses dont cater for distance learning and the one at loughborough doesnt allow part time and its a bit to far away. I looked at fees etc as well and they are (for the time being out of my price range) A student loan is a no go too as I am currently paying one back from my current degree.
Does anyone know of any diploma's or taster qualification's available in the field of sports nutrition? Ive had a look at some but they seem pretty straightforward in the sense of 100% coursework self teaching etc Not sure if they will actually help get me into the field I would like to pursue.
Any help appreciated (right time for work whoop de do)
