8GB iPhone is free on £45 and upwards monthly contracts, and £99 otherwise

Having a job, I missed out on the online registration this morning. Phoned my local o2 store and apparently they'll have "enough" to sell on Friday morning. Balls to waiting in line at 8am mind you! Hopefully a casual stroll into town at 10am will be enough.

Don't know if the hype lived up to expectations, but I see from FB that Whisks has swapped his 1st gen to a 3G one, and went in the o2 shop in Liverpool earlier, and they had just sold their last one at about 5.15 this afternoon.

Paper is muting it to be the most successful phone earlier, with 10m handsets going this year :-O
