I don't have a will. I don't really have enough stuff/money to be concerned really. I have life assurance covering my property, and the benefits my work pays if i die in service are split 50/50 between my parentals and my sister.

My parents are really good about that stuff so they are all sorted. Though of course that will all change if/when my sis and I procreate.

They keep telling me I've got money coming from my grandparents but I'm not budgeting for it or anything! :-D

ETA: I would have said my tv is my most expensive item (other than my bed, sofa and flat), but you can get that in Argos for £179.99 now *isn't at ALL bitter*

Wills are important wether you have money or not, if a person dies without a will they are deemed to have died intestate and it will take some time and cost to sort out their estate regard less of it's value a certificate of probate is required and that can only be obtained when essential particulars have been redeemed, evey one should have a will even if it's only a simple one................there's no escape in this country they're still after bleeding you even when your dead!

so even just one saying you leave all your worldly possessions to you next of kin would save people alot of hassle when you gone.

What exactly do you need to do and how much does it cost?

I'll double check when I get home PGE but it's happened twice with my DVD player from two different shops. At least the one I bought it from put the price back up again!

PUG, you realy should sort a will out because your flat will be worth a fair bob, or two (even if not fully paid off, I expect it will have gone up in value, and there would be some extra value in it)

I went on a finance seminar last year, and I found all the stuff about wills and taxation really interesting, and totally eye-opening, especially the stuff about inheritnace tax, and splitting property between people to avoid paying it, etc...
