Anyone know the quickest way to get rid of a sore throat!?
I've being plying myself with lempsip, soothers and the odd paracetamol + lots of fruit for vit c for 3 days but it doesnt appear to be getting any better!
are there any miricle cures!? :-P
if not whats best to drink (alcohol wise) that won';t have me struggling to keep it down! :-|

Gargle some luke warm water with salt a few times, usually works for me. Is it just a sore throat? Or are there other symptoms?
Also, why, what to drink? Are you planning on hitting the pub?
Ditto on the warm water +salt gargles. Also, make your own honey and lemon hot drink, or warm ribena can be good too.
I hate sore throats. At least with a cold, it usually follows a normal timetable of 3 or 4 days, but sore throats are always a bit unpredictable, and more difficult to treat.
cheers matt; did this 3 times yestewrday and woke up today and it feel s 90% fine so did in once more this morning; should be good to go for thye weekend.
@liquidfit; yes I am planning on hitting thye pub; off for a weekend away with uni mates so not being able to drink would have been a downer!
Will give the salt water thing a go two if time, although the soluble aspirin I guess is a similar idea but with aspirin in it hence making it better?
