Reeto.

I happened to get a glimpse of the back of my head the other day and I noticed I'm getting a bit friar tuck-like back there, and my hairline at the front is so high that if you stuck lights on my forehead I'd have planes landing on it.

My question is this: better to go hairless and shave it all off or cling onto it all untill the bitter end?

I don't think I've got the kind of face/head to be able to pull off the sexy bald look. I'd just look like a 6'1'' baby NF member.

F*ck it mate, bite the bullet and go for the really short look now..... you and others will get used to how short and "missing" it is....

Then you go full on Jean Luc Picard and look cool!!!

I know this is what I would do... and even shaved my blond locks off on the weekend to a no. 2...!

I'd say hang on until the point where it's obvious, then shave. Anyone else?

I'd get rid

There's a guy here with longish hair except for the friar tuck bit of which you speak. Not that noticeable until you walk down the stairs behind him, then it's like a shining beacon of light

Yeah, I'd go with that.

How long is your hair now CSM? One of my mates is clinging on to his hair & it looks pretty crap because it's slightly too long

I think a lot of it depends on how you dress too. I mean, I think if you wear suits a lot then having a really closely shaved head looks great. But in normal day to day life I wear jeans and a Vietnam war US army jacket lol. I don't want to look like the NF's poster boy!

Also it depends on how much weight you're carrying to. Or should I say extra weight. If you're tubby, you look like an overgrown baby and if you're too muscular you just look like a meathead. Oh what to do.

I used to have thick hair man! I'm only 27!

ArhurP, the friar tuck bit isn't bald yet, just thinner there than the rest of my head.

Johnny, my hair isn't particularly long, could do with a tidy up but that's about it. I'd say it's about 1.5 inches long allover. Apart from the friar tuck!

It's odd because the part of which I speak feels just as long and thick as the rest of the hair on my head. Could it just be the way my hair grows there? They call it the crown don't they?

I think you should try and master the art of the comb over - if you get it right no one will ever know the truth about your thinning pate.

Or if you don't want to look like an idiot you could go for a number 2 all over!

Tricky one - ask your hairdresser. I changed mine, and we talked about my thinning temples, and she suggested to get it cut shorter than it was, but not to go too short as that would also show off the thinning bits too.

I will have to go to a "Hairdressers" for that kind of advice.

I go to a barbers where they still smoke inside, while they're cutting your hair! Lol. They don't know owt about that kinda stuff.

My hair has allways been a bit shit. I think it's time I upgrader to a more expensive salon!
