Starting to plan ahead to my cut. At the moment i'm thinking i'll drop cals (obviously!), do HIIT after weights sessions and do the odd 40 min steady state cardio in the morning on an empty stomach before work after a coffee and some BCAAs. Don't want to be too drastic as I want to retain my gains.

Hi Jock- do you want to run that one past Anthony first - sounds a bit "harsh" to me

Kind of a give away in the title...

In good shape now and looking forward to getting ripped once I start my cut in a few weeks, but I am feeling pretty unmotivated at the moment. Dragged myself to the gym last night despite that.

My lower is uncomfortable at night when I am trying to sleep so I will avoid squats, deads and the like for a bit till it settles down.

Hey Jock, I am in a similiar position, with the losing of motivation! I havent been to gym for near two weeks, partly because i was on holiday for week and partly because I haven't felt great since being back, so i will be watching to see what others say about getting the mojo back!

Harsh? The HIIT stuff after weights works really well (burns up the fat already released into the blood stream), as does a long walk in the morning. Shouldn't cause catabolism.

I'm going to drink beer all weekend and see if that helps. Haven't had a drink for 4 weeks now. Maybe thats the problem.

Me 4!! Have physically felt pretty crap since getting out of hossie and so I eased off on the gym activity..... then I hit a "plateau" in that I haven't shifted an ounce in a fortnight so I'm having a week off the cutting this week and thankfully haven't gained any weight as I'm still eating sensibly. Mood has been a bit low also because of physically feeling like crap all the time. I booked a weeks holiday to Turkey yesterday (sadly not Kusadasi as I couldn't seem to find any decent accomodation available) and feel a desperate need to shift 4lb to get down to 9st for my hol but I'm not holding out much hope of that as I've not shifted that amount in a single week since starting the plan...... What's making me lose motivation is that I am near the end of my 12 week plan and only shifted half of the weight I had hoped despite soooo much effort :o(

LOL stop whining you lot! I was dreading going back to gym after a week away, and I did lose a lot of reps on bench press, but it wasn't a complete disaster.

Jock - man up. Just seen the pics you posted on friday, you've made some huge gains. I think you need to stand in front of the mirror and pose a bit, or walk about work with no shirt on.
