Sometimes, not all the time, but it is just so interesting to see all the organs and how our bodies are made up.

It's a fair point and I'm sure that's why it's 50/50 on whether it's right or wrong.

I just don't see what someone on the telly is meant to get out of it?

Fine, in your own lab, with trainee drs etc. But what use is it on telly?

It is education - on how the human body is constructed, and how it works. I think the media causes the sensationalism by saying it is morbid and wrong.

I hear ya. So what do you get from it. But, when you clench your fist do you think, "ooh, the biceps are working now?"

no :P

I went to see this today, and it was brilliant! Well worth the tenner entry charge, and not at all ghoulish, as you might expect.

There was good commentary around the walls about the history of anatomy, and the study of the human body, and also the changing perception to death over the centuries.

IN terms of the main exhibition, there were plenty of full body displays, in various poses, and states of show, displaying the organs, skeleton, arteries and vein systems, etc, and these were accompanied by smaller displays of individual organs, or organ systems, such as the reproductive system. All fascintating stuff, and brought back my GCSE biology lessons!

There was an ante room containing plastinated embryos and foetuses from 5 weeks up to full term pregnancy, and it really made me think about the abortion debate, and a baby at 20, or 24 weeks, really does look like a real baby. Scary stuff.

I would definitely recommend Bodyworlds to anyone to go and see :)
