"The committee was unanimous in its desire not to select Dwain...Taking him to the World Indoors deprives young, upwardly mobile, committed athletes of this key development opportunity...On this basis, it is extremely frustrating to leave young athletes at home; eligible for Beijing, in possession of the qualifying standard and committed to ongoing participation in a drug-free sport...In contrast, we have to take an individual whose sudden return, especially when considered against his previous actions and comments, suggests that he may be using the whole process for his own ends" - UK Athletics 2008

I've bolded (sp?) the parts I think are more relevant to the argument against him. I agree.

What about Linford Christie?

He is banned from being on trackside, yet the BOC are still involved with him

They should not pick-and-choose

Let the man compete, he's served his time. Steve Cram was a complete twat on saturday whilst working for the BBC, going on about Dwain and how he is a cheat. Your there to commentate mate, leave the decision to the courts. The boy done wrong, he's done his time, give him his last chance. At the end of the day if we had any world class sprinters coming through he wouldn't even need to be picked, but there isn't, says a lot for UK athletics
