Right thats it! Over the last few months I have been in denial about my health and fitness to the point where I am heavier now then when I joined here back in February (08). I have gained 8lbs and a fair few inches and it shows - really shows!

I have decided to take the matter seriously and have thought about the slight changes I can make that I WILL stick too. I have my friends supporting me which is an enormous help and I have a "rough" plan to how I am going to achieve my goals. I am doing this for myself and for so many reasons. I don't know how many days - weeks - months it will take but it will happen.

So here is how its going to work.

I pleadge to:

* Walk everyday, even if its just 30 minutes I am going to get some fresh air and record my steps on my health coach and update on here each week (when I'm not away).
* Follow Anthony's WL Starter plan twice a week in the gym and also record my achievements.
* I have been challenged by a good friend to follow a Wii Fit challenge for a month, if this makes a positive change I will continue this for as long as possible and record my details on here.
* Keep within 1400 calories a day, but allowing myself a day off every 2 weeks to enjoy a meal out with my friends.
* Drink as much water as possible - at least 1.5 litres a day.

I will appreciate people's constructive comments, but go easy on me some comments in the past have hurt a little too much.

Starting stats:

Saturday 19th July: Day 1

Height: 5ft 2in
Weight: 148lbs
Chest: 38"
Ribs: 34"
Waist: 33"
Hips: 38.5"
Thigh: 22.5"
Calf: 13"
Arm: 10.5"

Here's to the start of my journey...............................

Woke up today feeling very positive after a successful 1st day.

Day 2 was very physical with the start of my Wii fitness/sport routine. I went for a 45 min walk before hand so warmed up nicely then did the following at home:-

6 mins - Jogging
4 mins - Hula Hooping
8 mins - Super Hula Hooping
5 mins - Step
30 mins - Free Step
6 mins - Toning
6 mins - Balance
20 mins - Wii Tennis

1 hour 25 mins physical activity (so far today)

A lot more tiring than I expected but a lot of fun!!

I have planned my food for the rest of the week which averages 1365 cals per day and is varied enough to keep me interested.

Thanks PJ, its good to be back. I have Tuesday and Thursday as definates and possibly Saturday as well depending on how the week goes with everything else. I will be back on my Wii Fit tonight - stepping to Deal or no Deal :) and then back on the Wii Sports afterwards. Its fun and keeps me motivated.

I have a different attitude this time round. I plan to achieve my goals my way, slowly but surely. I can't change my habits over night and I won't succeed if I feel like my life is restricted. I will have some days when I eat more than 1400 cals (like last night when I was out with friends) but I am realistic so plan to average 1400 cals per day each week.

Day 3 and all is well in the world of positive piggy. I had a great night out with my friends last night and didn't drink any alcohol and opted for a small ice cream for pudding.

Today's meal plan is as follows:

Breakfast:
Slim Fast chocolate milkshake (211 cals)

Mid Morning:
3 satsumas (54 cals)

Lunch:
1/2 can baked beans (136 cals)
2 slices of wholemeal toast (154 cals)
Light cheese spread (25 cals)

Mid Afternoon:
2 apples (92 cals)

Dinner:
Chicken breast (80 cals)
60g penne pasta (207 cals)
Pasta sauce (62 cals)
30g Cathedral light cheese (93 cals)

Tea Time:
Bakewell tart (328 cals)

Total cals: 1442

Carb: 57%
Protein: 20%
Fat: 23%

I know the bakewell tart is naughty but its a family celebration tonight and if I am to stick with my plan long term I need to be realistic and I LOVE bakewell tart!

I opted for Slim Fast chocolate shake for breakfast because it kicks my chocolate craving into touch and actually fills me up :)

My exercise plan for the day is:

30 mins walking at lunch time
30 mins free step on my Wii Fit whilst watching Deal or No Deal :)
