just finished another week of workouts, today strenght seemed a bit down. Still using empty bar on my squats, and i dont want to push to failure yet. Weight in is tomomrow. THere was some huge guy in the gym this morming who yet on staring at me doing my pussy weights, quite annoying and also a bit embrassing that i'm using such light weights, but i just mumbled something at him, and continued...
Workout still- Squats Pullover Bench (smith machine) SLDL with ez bar bi curls with ez bar tri cable pulls cable reverse flyes and cable chop
might do a light swim tomorow morning just to relax and stretch.
Diet over the week has been ok, its just the usual weekends that i do seem to add my treats, but it seems the same with everyone.

I know it's difficult, but do your best to ignore him oscar. We all had to start somewhere, including the meatheads!

Why can't you push to failure Osc? You'll need to to make the muscle grow
i dont wanna push my legs that much at the moment (just enough thou), i think Richy was in the same situation when doing DL and i remember Ant saying i dont need to push to failure in everything everytime.
Who cares what anyone thinks, just keep pushing on Osc. Nothing wrong with treats at the weekend, especially if it stops you from losing motivation during the weekend. Just make sure they're in addition to good nutrition not in place of!

I was only the same doing DLs because t caused back pain so I just didnt do them.
When I started out at 53kg I was pushing to failure straight from the off. Unless you feel pain theres no real reason not to go to failure as long as you maintain good form. Doing so, and eating how you have is the only way in which you'll gain significant size and strength. Looking at the weights you are lfiting you seem to be at the same weight on a few exercises, as you were over a month ago. Yes you dont have to go to complete failure on everything everytime; but that doesnt give you an excuse to slack.

Antony keeps telling everybody to get the diet right first. Isn't it the same here? Richy right includes diet, but might it be best to focus on getting that right first? Oscar's case is very different than for most people, and I'm not sure this emphasis on the training angle, is the most helpful.

i agree, thats why i'm not the "fussed" at the moment if i dont push every rep or such like in the gym (just as long as i continue some physical exercise), i wana get the diet right, and bulk properly and then go from there gym-wise.
You have got to grips with eating regularly again which is evident from your gradual weight increase.
Weight training will stimulate muscle growth which is what you need to rebuild a healthy body, increase your stamina, strength etc. so you can kick sand in the face of gym gorillas in a few months time.
Don't get distracted by what others can do at gym - this is your personal quest for a fit healthy body - if they stare just say you are in re-hab and chat training so you get support.
Richy is a great mentor - he has re-built himself clean, lean and strong. Everyone on MZ wants you to achieve the same results.
