Powerballs are pretty good for improving grip. Sqeezing squishy balls too, thats what climbers do. My mate has one of those expensive grip things that Anthony mentioned, thats quite good. Otherwise I suppose it'll just come with time.

tape towels to bars and dumbells. making the grips thicker means you have to work harder to grip them, hence increasing your forearm/grip strength -
