Why is it that shops have posters and sales with Back to school when they only just broken up? ehh? I guess Christmas stuff will be out soon..

because they have not got rid of all their stock and need to meet targets.

I remember when Woolies used to do their back-to-school campaigns two weeks before summer holidays end.



I purchased some things from Selfridges two weeks before their sale started - one was on sale, the other a new-collection-item. Went to Selfridges on first-day-of-sale and both were the same price.

NEXT last year had first phase Christmas stuff (cards and wrap) in at the end of August, and then the rest of them launch from mid-Septmeber.

I know M&S in Liverpool is launching Xmas earlier than the other shops, as the launch of the big move in to the old John Lewis shop...

The thought of Crimbo in summer is not an appealing one!
