Do you have a son Noffles? He should get a real kick out of DK. It's kind of long and talky in parts (some great quotable dialogue mind) but that batbike is worth waiting for. I've tried not to mention any spoilers in the review. It's a good story, so I'd suggest steering clear of any (except this one of course!) so as not to ruin the experience. Whoever would have thought Ledger could've pulled this off so well? A real shame he'll never get to enjoy the adulation.

Yep, he's 13 this weekend and likes the kind of films I do so he should enjoy this, he really liked Ironman and The Hulk so this is in the same vein.
i have booked gold class tickets to see this, leather arm chair recliners, with free popcorn and only 30 people in the whole cinema ;-) and its a 22.00 showing so no kiddies, plus no one can boot you in the back of the chair because i have the seats at the back QUALITY it doesnt get any better than that (except when its free)
That sounds well sweet JD, how much does a ticket like that set you back?
I'm going to have to watch this one at the IMAX, I hate busy cinemas so I'll give it a few weeks. I watched Batman Begins again the other night & it's really got me up for the new one

£15 quid for the ticket, its not an everyday thing but when good films you have been looking forward too come out then why not ;-)

That's quite reasonable considering it's the best part of a tenner to watch a film in packed cinema, with no room or free popcorn. At which cinema is this? Enjoy dude :)
Off to see this tonight, can't wait! Was going to go Gold Class as well but they've already sold out, so it's mucking it with the peasants cos I really want to see it!

star city in birmingham, vue cinema, all cinema should be like this, not jumping cheek to cheek because your arse is numb after an hour
Went to see this last night, and the reviews are well deserved.
It is so dark and brutal in parts that I couldn't quite belive it was a 12A!! Heath Ledger is great, you can barely tell it's him with the make up and he plays the maniac brilliantly. You're left thinking wow rather than "that's that gay cowboy"
The bit with the pencil (won't ruin it) is such an example of just how dark and brutal it is, just one of quite a few examples that genuinely had the audience gasp. The action is violent and intense, while the turmoil Bale shows is excellent too.
I would quite happily go see it again, which is saying something since I hardly go to the cinema :-) While Iron Man was good, this is darker and better.
I didn't realise Christian Bale was the little guy out of Empire in the Sun (or whatever it is called) - I remeber watching it many a time with my Grandad :)
JD, we have that in the filmworks in Manchester. It's what we'll use to watch the film. £15 for a huge leather couch for you and the mrs, free soft drinks, free popcorn/hot dogs/nachos/ice cream and a waitered service for beers. Get in.
