Does anyone use Fitday?
It's changed and doesn't seem to allow you to put food in grams?
I used to just put all foods as 100g and then I'd weigh stuff out so I might put in 25g of turkey etc and it would work it out. Now it just lets you enter number of portions. Or have I got it wrong?
Is there any other sites like fitday?
What is the meaning of life?

Hi Gahoo,
I have used Fitday, but agree it is a little "basic"
Have a look at "SparkPeople"
www.sparkpeople.com
It is irritatingly full of American Wimmen obsessed with smileys, lucky mottos, inspirational quotes and pic of their hubbie/kids/cats
BUT:
The food log is better than Fitday - easier to use, more foods and more flexible potions/servings etc.
When you sign they give you can have a daily meal plan if you want, with recipes.
The exercise log is useful too - video clips of basic exercises etc - though the "calories burned" bit is probably a work of fantasy.
It would not suit "hard core" but for anyone lost in the dieting / nutritional jungle is would get them started.

www.nutritiondata.com is very comprehensive. It gives your calories, vitamin and trace mineral content, ratings on how appropriate the food is for losing/gaining weight, protein bioavailability etc

Cheers PJ. I'll have a look. I actually want something really simple just to count my cals, fitday was spot on but now they have ruined it :-(
I might have to pester Jonny Ace and see if he will email me his funky spreadsheet!
I'm trying to create one but I'm pants at formulas, I want a formula to work out a gram's to cals ration etc.
So if I have 100g and 356cals, if I change to 50g it changes the cals to 178, any ideas!?

Google it! There's a British one that's metric. Forgot it's name but it's like a Fitday for the UK!

It's basically a ratio - in this case (50 / 100) * 356

Well, if you are on a set seating plan then you can just put a formula in a cell to "mulitply by 0.5" to get 50g caloires.
