I'd take a short term visit to the future to see how long the species has left to survive.
Then take a second trip 100's of millions of years again to see if any other lifeform becomes a dominant intelligent species.
I'd imagine this planet will be a warm isolated lonely place in about 300 million years.
The thought that sucks balls to me is, what if we are the only intelligent lifeform that exists in this universe and then we die out due to our own stupidity. Life may never rise again and we fucked up the only chance of a universe growing its own ability to understand itslef through corporeal entities.

If these physicists who are trying to recreate the big bang next week have got their sums wrong, you might not have long to wait !

Well that as well!
Like that Almanac from Back to the Future II would be well handy.

Was life less complicated in the past? In some ways it was - people knew who the enemy was - basically, anyone who didn't fit the norm, anyone foreign by birth or by religion. There are stupid people in the world today, but in the past people were even more ignorant and prejudiced. I would never want to turn the clock back and live in past eras. The only exception to that being would be to live in the time of the Prophet in 7th century AD.

I see what you're saying about some things, LF. For example, we seem to be so hysterical about children being targeted by paedophiles, or getting injured, they aren't allowed to live normal lives. Or they are made to grow up too fast and over sexualised at a ridiculously young age. Having said that, in the past, people got married at 15 and had kids not long after!

Would I want to live in the future? I don't know, only if they manage to solve problems like global warming, overpopulation and environmental destruction. For all we know, there won't be a future because of a doomsday event - nuclear war, volcanic eruption or another giant meteor strike,.

Well we need to be realistic :)

No point saving money or trying to save the environment, live for today!

Wine, Women and Song. Eat, drink and be merry - for tomorrow we die!
