I think the biggest mistake of the welfare system is incentivising reproduction.
Any idiot child can get pregnant.
Then our hard earned taxes house them, feed them, and indeed encourage them to have more because the more kids, the more money....
Surely reproducing offspring when you are without the resources to look after an innocent child should be wholeheartedly discouraged by the Government...
What would you suggest ?
Compulsory sterilisation for the poor ?
Or perhaps have the new-born removed in the dead of night by the authorities.

I am merely suggesting that it should be far more discouraged than it is.
Quite frankly teen pregnancy is an easy option for young fools who don't want to bother working.
Its very simple, get pregnant, get free gaf, get free money, watch Oprah, wear pyjamas to the shop and tell everyone how great little Beyonce is doing.
Sure why the hell would they ever want to work!

Imagine if you had to pay for childcare and work though, it'd be worthless if the state would pay you. A young mum I know is paying £770 a month for full time childcare so she can go back to uni, that's almost as much as I earn. If I was her it'd make more sense to not bother and live off the state.

Well I work full time, the missus part time and our childcare is 850 pm ! I wont tell you the full details of our finances but living in London is HARD !!, I can understand while they do as it would of been better if we had split up tbh !
