Sorry the updates are late. I've had a mentally busy weekend so but they should be up tonight.
it gives some of the slackers chance to get in an update before I strike your ass!
Goals
Ben has slipped off his training wagon and has been burying his face in chocolate again! For the first part of the challenge he wants to tidy up his diet and trim down his podgy (and hair) belly. For the second part of the challenge he is aiming to add some lean mass.
Week 6 update
Ben doesn?t seem to be taking this challenge seriously? he doesn?t even know where his gym is and he?s eating lots of junk food. I expect better in the second half of the challenge Benji.
Goals
Benny wants to get down to 13st 7lbs in the first week of this challenge so he?s in better shape for his holiday. He?ll reassess his goals for phase 2 after his holiday. Benny also wants to improve his eating habits.
Week 6 update
Benny has lost 14lbs since the start of the challenge which is good going for 6 weeks. His diet is healthy and he has a structure workout routine. He’s off oh his jollies soon to show the ladies his new beach bod.
Goals
Darnay has recently undergone spinal surgery has in now gradually getting back into the exercise game. He used to be buff but months of inactivity have taken their toll so he aims to become more active and lose some of his unwanted bodyfat.
Be warned; he likes to post pictures of himself in weird pants.
Week 6 update
Darnay has had a week of due to his abs strain but is ready to get training again now.
Fernandez clicky for training log
Goals
Fernandez has previously used the Mansized Daniel Craig workout to bring his weight up from 11st 7lbs to a respectable 14st. He now wants to push on to 15st and be a secret agent. He teaches Krav Maga which means I?ll only be saying nice things about him from now on.
Week 6 update
Fernandez continues to eat and train like a machine despite feeling a bit ill. His weight is up to 14st 5lbs from a starting weight of 14st.
Fishy clicky for training log
Goals
Fishy wants to bulk up and add 8lbs. He also want to improve his strength; specifically his deadlift and dumbbell bench press, which he wants to et to 120kg and 32,5kg respectively, both for 10 reps. He also wants 15? guns.
Week 6 update
Fishy has gained 5lbs since the start of the challenge going up from 165 to 170lbs. He’s also done a parachute jump and bought an iphone.
Goals
Gahoo changes his goals more often than he changes is pants. He was trying to lose weight but that may have changed several times in the last 5 minutes alone. His general goal in life is to be a sexy northern mofo. He?s usually chasing the dream of big guns, big pecs and ripped abs? he usually eats far too many sausage rolls for him to achieve any of these goals.
Week 6 update
Nothing from Gahoo – strike 2
Does Gahoo even exist anymore?
Gprim clicky for training log
Goals
Gprim is aiming to drop 6kg to get to 80kg with a side goal of achieving the much coveted sixpack.
Week 6 update
Gprim spent all last week on the cardio front trying to work on his fitness for. He played half a match Saturday before he broke someone’s collar bone and got sent to the sin bin (I don’t think they have them in rugby do they) His neck is still not 100 percent so he’s avoiding the weights for the time being.
Weight is now 86.4kg, up from 86kg at the start… I thought you were cutting?!
Goals
Hatter has spent the last 2 months slacking off and putting on weight. He is now up to 12st 12 and the trousers and getting tighter around the waist again.
Hatter?s main target is a 10k race on 21st September, so he?s not got long to get back to a level of fitness to get him round that.
No long term goals set.
Week 6 update
Hatter is really getting into the crossfit training and is regularly doing the Workouts of Doom! He’s buying some more equipment for his gym too.
Johnny Ace clicky for training log
Goals
Johnny Ace has one goal; to be ?jacked? as he puts it. He wants to get big and buff without gaining fat.
Week 6 update
Johnny had some sort of crisis of confidence/motivation and couldn’t be arsed with anything. After much harassment from others, he has finally started doing deadlifts, chins and dips. Lets hope he sticks at em. His weight is 188lbs, up from 183lbs at the start, but I’m not confident that it’s lean mass.
Goals
Lardass lost a lot of weight in his previous Mansized challenges but seems to lose his way between challenges. Having previously got down to 18st 7lb, he has shot back up to 19st 4.5lb. He aims to get back to his previous weight and then go even lower, with an ultimate target of 17st by the end of the 14 weeks. Lardass is going to be less anal about his diet and instead go for a healthy lifestyle that allows a few treats, and should be more maintainable.
Week 6 update
Apparently Lardass has left the building.
Goals
Matt wants to increase the reps he can do on free squats, pushups and chins aiming for 50, 30 and 15 respectively. He?d also like to shrink his gut to 32?.
Week 6 update
Matt has met his squat target but is struggling with the chins and pushups. He lost 3lbs this week but some of it may have been muscle. He’s got some new gym equipment so now he do some proper workouts.

Mick had his gall bladder removed last year and is sporting a rather funky scar down the middle of his giant blubber ring (his words). He?s hoping to lose 7lbs in each part of the challenge giving a total loss of 14lbs. Lowering blood pressure and cholesterol are also on the agenda.
Mick will be holiday for the first 2 weeks of the challenge so will have to work extra hard when he gets back.
Week 6 update
Mick is doing well with the following results:
- Weight down to 186 lbs (4lbs loss since the start)
- dropped a trouser size
- only one hole left in my belt
- been told to stop wearing 'Large' T-shirts ('cos they look too baggy)
- stopped snoring ( but I never snore ;-) )
- BF down to 23% (from 25)
- generally feeling better, seem to have more energy
Goals
Oscar wants to bulk up without getting fat, but he seriously doesn?t need to worry bout that at less than 6% bodyfat. He?d like to reach 60kg and strengthen his legs which are one of his main problem areas.
Week 6 update
Oscar is continuing to increase the amount he eats and is training regularly. His weight is up to 57kg from a starting weight of 56kg.

Goals
Richy wants to be 160lbs or over, plain and simple. He wants to gain weight in the first 7 weeks then switch his goals to strength based for the second phase.
Week 6 update
Richy is halfway through his top secret training blitz and it’s working well. He’s added over 4lbs so far with little or no fat gain and has been chatted up by his masseur… does he do extras?!
Goals
Science Boy has done amazing well in previous challenges but due to the pressures of life has let himself go a little. His goal is to lose just over a stone and get back down to 14st again.
Week 6 update
No training for SB this week because his car has broke down… he’s also been to Glasgow to get pissed and eat crap… mmm, deep fried mars bars!
Goals
The Saint has lost a stone over the last 6 weeks but finds it hard to stay on track. He?s competing in the New Forest bike ride on 14th September so is training towards that. He also needs to fit into a 36? waist wedding suit by 3rd October.
Goals
Trickycat?s goals are all about maintaining a healthy lifestyle. He?s back at the gym after a lazy spell and has managed 5 weeks without booze. He aims to consistently train and eat healthy and will be logging both to record his progress. He?s also wanting to give up the cigs.
Week 6 update
Nothing from Trickycat again– Strike 3
Goals
Wes wants to increase his strength, stamina and CV fitness with a view to passing the fire fighters recruitment process. He wants to drop 10-14lbs in 8 weeks.
Week 6 update
Wes has been doing DIY and some cardio… girl!
Another top update Dutch. I am hoping everyone else drops out and I win by default but seems there are a good few people putting lots of effort into this.
I think this is just a fun one anyway. My main goal is to get training regularly rather than trying to achieve any specific weight or strength goals. I always tend to train for a few weeks then lose interest and motivation so this challenge has helped me so far.
