Reference.com has been along for donkey's years but it's recently had a facelift so is way faster and easier to use.
Simply type in your word or subject and it will tell you, using myriad sources, everything it can find on your chosen topic.
It's sister sites Dictionary.com and Thesaurus.com do what they say on the can, but we've yet to find better websites offering the same service.
From the home page, you can navigate to all manner of useful areas, including medical reference, literature, atlases and maps and an up to date almanac. Add it to your bookmarks.
