I don't think it will collapse in the near future, or even in the enar distant future. Technology is getting better and better and will keep coping with all of this.

The problem will be the impact of extra radio waves from wireless technoogies, the increase in electricity needed if the issue of energy efficient systems isn't dealt with.

The issue will come to fruition when microtechnology options have been exhausted and we're no longer able to manipulate these to our advantage in any new ways. We studied this in 4th year inorganic chemistry.
