Ben, I think you need to get ripped mate. Seriously, you need to get down to a lower bodyfat and then build it up from there.

I know you like cars so here's an analogy for you.

You need to get skinny like I'm doing. Think of stripping a car down to the chassis before building it up into a supercar! brum brum!! You also need to concentrate on your engine too! i.e. your fitness and eating healthy as you don't want to be a great looking car with nothing under the bonnet (as you are at the moment).

Seriously, If I was you and I had your body - god forbid ;-) - I would get down to a low bodyfat, get really lean and work on eating healthy, I'd focus on that for the next 8 weeks and not worry about bulking. Focus on losing fat and increasing strength while eating decent food.

Hope that helps, just my opinion.

I like this!

Looks like I will go on a clean eating, life of a monk cut then for a few weeks (maybe six) and see how I get on with losing the bit of belly flab I have. There is no way I want to let loose for my late 20s - so many of the guys from school already have done, and it is gross.

I also remember Gahoo's comment about when your belly is bigger than your chest it is time to sort it out - I am not that bad, but see so many 30+ ers who are in such bad shape it makes me cringe for them inside.

I like Gahoo's earlier analogy! Cut Ben! Cut like a knife! Tell me when you're in Manchester and you can come down to my gym! I'm drawing the line at wearing a Dale mask though!

Which gym do you go to? Is it a chain?

Maybe we will have to have a northern gym meet, there are enough of us about now, and all within easy reach of each other. Dale masks/costumes optional :)
