I can see the point and I can't in equal measures. Surely their trying to cover too many bases at once.
Basically what people want is something which can:
a.Make phone calls and send texts
b.Email on the move
c.Surf the internet at a good speed
d.Watch movies and listen to music
e.fit into their pockets.
f.play good, cutting edge games
Technically my c600 phone can do all of that... But the gaming isn't even on a par with a Gameboy, never mind a PSP or DS.
Microsoft wants schools and businesses using tablets, organised people using Pocket PCs, us using Laptops on the train, Origami when we're at home (but can't be bothered with the lap top) and smartphones to make calls.
I'm all for intergration, but that's too much for me.
