Seems to me you love food more than you love the idea of being fit and in good shape.

This is worth re-reading, then re-reading again. It explains the situation very well.

At the moment, you're not ready to get in shape. Your actions will define your priorities, and at the moment you don't want to lose the weight, you want to eat fatty foods.

This is the key point. You can lose the weight, increase your strength, fitness, vitality, and enjoy your life more as a result, but you have to want to do that. At the moment, you're not in that place, you want to eat fatty food more than you want those things.

Don't sweat it though, that's not a negative, it's just pointing out you're not ready yet. When you are, you'll excel, just like everyone else.

Mostly it's habitual, and if you stick to a proper eating routine for 21 days straight, you'll have formed new habits which you can stick to to get and stay in shape. If you do it half heartedly in the first few weeks, you wont plant the right seeds in your brain for the long term.

So don't rush into it, take your time, wait until you're ready, then when you are, put together a proper plan and stick to it. That's how you make long term changes, and trying to do that before you're ready will just cause you frustration and make it more difficult the next time.

When you are though, we'll be here to get you off to a good start!

PS. Funnily enough, I've found one of people's biggest motivators is holiday photo's which could be a really good thing for you based on your upcoming holiday. So you may just find when you get back and look over yours your priorities change!

If that's the case you'll be in a really good position to get in shape for your next holiday, look back, and laugh at this years photo's when you are!
