Wouldnt you feel better going out when your in better shape?
Speaking from personal experience, the more weight I lose, the more confident I feel. If you carry on with your night out every weekend your body isnt going to change. You will wake up in 3 years time with the same body. Is that what you want? If it is, thats fine. If i were you I would ask myself, if I want to give up completely , or give it a 100%. Posting occasionally on here seems only to be giving lip service to what you should be doing, maybe it makes you feel like you are doing it.
The choice is yours mate, but I would make one, one way or the other.
Otherwise life will just pass you by.
