Well when you are on a date with someone, you can't not let them buy you a drink or insist you take your drink to the loo when you go!
If you know someone enough to swap numbers/meet for a date then I think a certain level of trust needs to be there.
If it's an internet or possibly blind date you should probably exercise some caution!
