Hi Mate

I'd adjust it to this:

Lelloman wrote:

Squats - 25-30lb
Kneeling Kick Backs - 20lbs
Seated Row 25lbs OR Bent Over Row - 20lbs
Pec Press 15lbs
Overhead Press - 10-15lb
Lateral raise 15-20lb
Overhead Tricep Extension - 15lb
Concentration Curl 10-15lb
Normal Crunch (Add weight)

Then work hard at progressing in those exercises. If you work hard enough you should over 6 weeks be able to increase them all by about 25-30%.

Keep it up!

Anthony

Hi Anthony Cheers for that. I ntoice you have reduced the amount of exercises in the routine, was i doing too many?
And is it ok that to begin with the lower amount of exercises it will prob take me 30mins max to do?

Not too many necesarily, althoug you'll probably find you'll get better results with less as you can work harder now, but more because you had alot of repetition you didn't need at this stage, like two types of curl, etc.

That's fine. It often takes longer at first as you improve your fitness. Give it a couple of weeks, and you'll be able to work hard enough to get it done in 20! :-)

Keep it up!

I don't think I've ever had a routine done in 20! hes crazy this Anthony guy! ;-P

I'd trust his advice well over any other trainer I've spoke to though so give it your all Lelloman :-)

LOL I do about 9 exercises in 18-19 minutes. Mrs Anthony does around 7 exercises in under 20 minutes too. Cutting down his exercises to 9 should see lello getting the job done in under 25 minutes once he gets fitter!

cor blimey Anthony!; 9 exercises in 18 mins barely leaves a single second for rest!

A 10 set routine would likely take me 40mins! 2mins per exercise and 1-2mins rest after each. Your gym must be empty to manage that!

v. impressive stuff non the less. Fancy doing a video of a set for us!? :-D

ha ha Richy that is a brilliant idea as i would have thought the shorter the workout the less benefit you would get from it?
I know musckes get stronger but then as you increase the weight you work with sure it should start to take longer as you work your body harder and harder!

Also one bit of good news guys i have make a very determined effort to stop smoking as well so i should feel the benefits more by cleaning the crap off my lungs as i work out and should help me improve performance in my workout as well

Quite the opposite. The harder you work, the less time you'll be able to keep it up for. If you want to keep up a long workout, you'll have to pace yourself relative to the length to do it.

Our Weight Loss Plan starts with 4 exercises for that very reason, then adds them as you become fitter and are able to put the same effort into more exercises.

Good luck with that! Mr Mansized winner Lardass is doing the same I believe, so might be worth picking up some tips from him.

Keep it up!

100% pack those ciggies in mate, it'll be the best thing you ever do :)

A shorter workout is generally a more intense workout, you'll also get cardio vascular benefits (I'm sure someone will explain it better than me).

I find a longer workout more mentally difficult ie I've worked my ass off on the first 5 exercises, to think I need to do that another 10 times is a struggle, only having to do it 5 more times is a lot easier on the mind

ETA: Too late :)

so u mean by doing slowwe reps at a higher weight you are almost working your muscles to fatigue from the first few reps so once you get used to the workout you can do it more efficiently while still giving your body a dam good workout and gradually increase the weight each week.
