A boy of 11 hanged himself from his bunk bed after months of bullying on the school bus, particularly from the driver, an inquest was told yesterday. Were you bullied at school?

That kind of "banter" is pretty normal in the UK though... Not to say it should be normal or it's a good thing, but giving people shit is a way of life here.

I was bullied a lot because I was "different". But I managed to survive the name callings, the punches, the insults. I am now 37 and I am appalled that bullying is still going on.

I think an open verdict was reached with the coroner saying he didn't really mean to do it!!!!!

I agree that it's to be "expected" from a peer group, but the bus driver appears to have been actively taking part. If true I think he has to shoulder some of the blame.

Sad story though.

He's a bus driver. If he had half a brain he wouldn't be driving buses for a living.

Amongst peers, name calling is common; however, from a bus-driver is a different. It is not the kid's fault, the driver still lives at with his mother and probably still a virgin. It did not mention if someone complained about the driver, be it his parents or other children the use the bus.

LOL This read as if the driver's parents didn't complain.

I thought this story was really tragic. Children can be so cruel.
