The Arsenal board where silly not to listen to Dein. Yes, Arsenal have a tradition, but Liverpool have a greater tradition and history and they have accepted a take over. However, the board will ensure that they keep their tradition.
Arsenal leaving Highbury with its marble features, was losing a tradition and then they did the sell-out thing. So instead of having a stadium, where the fans could cheer their team, all they care about is how much money they can make at half-time and from those extra seats.
They need money too, since that amazing season in 03/04, they have been poor, only winning the FA cup. Players have left and not been replaced. Yes, Arsenal have some good young players, but they did not reach the youth FA cup final; and they need experienced players too, far to many times, they have failed on away trips further then Birmingham. They need players who can cope with an away in December against Newcastle.
Wenger's deal runs out in 2008; if he resigns and joins another team, the compensation will be low. The morning papers have said the likes of Henry, Gallas and Clichy could follow Wenger out the door. Bap' already has said he wants to return to Real, because defenders in this country do not give you time to thing. And Henry at times, looks like a person regretting not joining Barca in the summer.
