I am not going, but my training partner is the guy who managed to get the deal for the matchday programmes.

By the way, that means he gets the publishing done on the programmes, he is not responsible for ticket prices!

The corporate thing has always p*ssed me off, even though I've been on a few 'beanos'.

The event is utterly irrelevant to most people who get these freebies, all it is is a free liquid lunch to most of them and the seats go empty while they quaff their champers in the hospitality area.

Before you're allowed in you should have to sit a test to see if you know anything about the sport/event you'll be going to

Yeah the corporate thing is a joke to be honest.

What I dont like is the fact that in a typical 70,000 international stadium, only 50,000 tickets are divided between the teams. The other 20,000 are used for hospitality. I couldnt believe that stat, but my mate who does the programme deals is involved at the top level of Sport and he said it is because of the over-priced sponsorship deals. The sponsors want tickets most of them never use.
